Cheat procedure:

1. When the game starts, build two tiles right away.

This will make sure that there is only one place

that is needed to be changed.

2. Save the game and abort the mission.

3. On the main menu, press "Alt+Tab", so that you don't

have to quit the game to cheat.

4. Using scientific calculator find the corresponding

hex number for the cash you had in the game.

i.e. 4960 will give 1360.

5. Using hex editor, open the saved game.

6. Search for the hex value.

Remember that low two bit comes first. So, for example,

with 4960 cash, hex value is 1360. But you should look

for 6013, instead. Change that to 'ffffaa'.

It will give maximum amount of cash.

Don't try to "ffffff", because it'll cause the game to

crash. "ffffee" was the maximum value I was able to use

without crashing, but "ffffaa" gave me the same thing

anyway.

7. Save the change and close the file.

8. Back to Dune 2000 and load the game.

Dune 2000 - HeXCheat -

When you start a mission (at least with the Atreides),

if you save it as soon as you start, your spice credits

will be stored in byte 24354 (hex). If you've already

made something in the game, the proper position will not

be exactly that, but it won't change much.

So far, I only noticed a change up to byte 24344 (hex).

I took the offset values with xe, an hex editor for dos,

which I use to edit all my savegames.

Hint: Unnecessary concrete slabs:

You do not need to put concrete underneath an entire

building. If the building has a dirt patch, just cover

the actual building portion and leave the dirt patch on

regular sand. This will save on spice and the number of

concrete slabs to be built.

If you are in Dune there is an easy wey to destroy your enemy all you do

is destroy ther Constractonyard first and go for the rest.

Using Fremen:

-------------

On the Atreides missions where Fremen are available, send about six Fremen

at a time to cover areas of prime targets. Have them stay still until enemy

defenses are low. Fremen are hard to spot when they stay still, so you can

build massive attack squads.

Hidden unit:

------------

After winning the last mission with the House Harkonen, the Emperor speaks

of releasing the Saudukar in the FMV sequence that follows. These Saudukar

are the infantry units that make up most of the Emperor's light infantry.

They are the ones that wear the helmet with the black "visor". To be able

to use this unit, you must attack the Emperor first on the last mission

with any house. The Emperor is the purple base/fleet. Bring an engineer

to the battle when you attack him. Then, take control of the Emperor's

palace. You can now build Saudukars from your barracks.

Base defense:

-------------

While defending your base during a skirmish, if you completely block off

one of the entrances to your plateau, the AI will just ignore the walls

and go to the other opening. This is good because you only have to focus

on defending one area. If you completely block of all entrances to your

base, the AI will proceed to destroy your walls. Sometimes they may choose

to attack one blocked opening because of the distance and width of the

plateau you occupy.

Open combat:

------------

When you have built a big enough army for a successful attack, make sure to

use the team hot keys that are described in the manual for the best efficiency

when in a dog fight. Once all the units in the attack force have been highlighted,

start to move each team at a time to different points among the map. Keep in mind

that some units are much faster than others, so make the different points

relatively close together -- make sure that the faster units wait for the slower

ones. If they do not it would defeat the purpose of bringing all the units in a

team. Even if you make teams with the same units, the ability to click from one

group to another during battle is far better than to keep highlighting each group

of units when you want to control them. Once in battle you can rotate from one

group of units to another and focus their attack on focal points in either the

opponent's army or base structure (large heavily defended units and structures

such as a construction yard, heavy factory and repair facility, etc.)

This strategy results in quicker more effective attacks with less of your units lost.

Getting sufficient amounts of rock:

-----------------------------------

To get a sufficient amount rock, in practice mode(which can be found in the

multi-player option at the main menu; you should have tech level to 7), send

a Trike to look around. Also, look for the amount of Spice nearby. If you have

a sufficient amount of Spice and Rock, find a place for your MCV. If you do not,

press [Esc], select "Abort Mission", and reset the campaign. Repeat this process

until you are comfortable with your environment. Do not look for another place

without resetting the mission, as it wastes time and your enemy or enemies can

find you and launch an assault.

Easy victory:

-------------

Do not attack the enemy, let them come to you. When you start, do not build Weapon

Factories. Instead, build Cannons and Missile Turrets. It is a good idea to build

Trikes and Quads to act as scout lookouts. Try not to build too fast or you will

run out of money when they attack. The most important thing is to not put all of

your defenses in one place.

Getting your troops to other patches of land:

---------------------------------------------

Build all of your buildings, troops, etc. Then, build a Heavy Factory or a Starport.

Next, buy a MCV (Mobile Construction Vehicle). Take the MCV to another patch of land

that you cannot access with concrete. Use the MCV and deploy it wherever desired.

When doing this you can build all your buildings, Refinery, Heavy Factory, Barracks,

etc.

Gun Turrets:

------------

At the start of a battle, build up lines of Gun Turrets instead of wasting time with

building up large units that get killed and decrease your score. Build up Gun Turrets

and work on defense. Soon after your enemy starts getting killed by your Gun Turrets,

build up a large army and get ready for an attack. It is recommended that you fix your

Gun Turrets often.

Avoiding worm trouble:

----------------------

Worms can be annoying, especially at the beginning of the game when you want to harvest

a lot of spice. They simply eat up your harvesters. A very effective solution for this

is to create a group of Troopers (five to ten should be sufficient). Worms are very

susceptible to missile attacks, and do not survive very long. Better yet, they are not

very inclined to surface and chew up infantry. Put some Troopers around your spice-rich

area, and let them do their work. Put them on some rocks if available. They will shoot

up the worm and kill it in no time, allowing your harvesters to continue their work

without disturbance. A couple of Rocket Turrets or Missile Launchers also helps.

All outpost map seen:

As soon as you start building up troops, send a Trike to look around. This will let

you see most of your map, depending on how far you got with the trike before it gets

blown up. This will help you find the enemy and all the bases. Do not worry if a couple

trikes get destroyed as they only cost 200 each.

Barrow-Downs. The Barrow-Downs are located southwest of the town

of Bree. If you leave when all five of your bags are full, you

should make about 150 to 300 silver coins.

Tier 1 Prospector Farm:

The place you want to look for the Tier 1 Prospector Farm, is in

the Shire. Try creating an alternate Hobbit character and make him

an Explorer for his Crafting. This farm has both Prospector materials

and Forester materials. Go to the town of Micheal Delving in The Shire.

Next, display the world map so it shows the town name Micheal Delving.

Find where the "G" in Micheal Delving is. Go to that general area and

you will certainly find at least two or three Prospector Nodes (Tin

Deposits and Copper Deposits). Make sure to have your Prospecting

Tracker on. There is a mound that you can stand on that can reveal any

of the three nodes that appear. By doing this, you can almost instantly

run to it and grab the node. An Explorer is also acceptable for this,

not only for its Prospecting ability, but also the Forester. Every now

and then, Rowan Branches will appear at the bottom of the hill to the

right of the building, and at the top near the few trees.

If you are a newbie, the best thing you have to do to learn, is to play the

missions. Ask the pro players, the learned this way, mostly. To play melee

games against the comuper is good also, but only is the beggining, because

the computer might seem good, but when you learn how to play, you may easily

beat 7 computers at once.

Never use cheats, or hacks neither, because it will only make the game worst,

and you will never stop using it.

For last, always have a strategy, concentrate on making only 2 kinds of units

for instance, like when i am with the Zerg, i always make Mutalisks, and only

that.

Easy wins:

----------

When you start, make the Star Gate as fast as possible. Do not bother with any

ground units. Then, build Carriers and upgrade their attack, defense, and the

number of Intersecters they can hold. Build at least four to five Star Gates

and as many Carriers as possible. In a few minutes you have an army that is

almost invincible.

Attack cloaked unit:

--------------------

You can often see a shimmering shape moving across the screen. However, you

cannot have you units directly attack it. You can still attack a cloaked unit

indirectly by using a Templar or Infested Kerrigan to launch a Psionic Storm

at it. This works well on Observers.

Easy attack on enemy bases as Protoss:

Play as the Protoss and mine enough minerals so that you can build multiple

(three to five) Arbitors and place them around key locations, enemy bases,

or places that you would normally need a shuttle to get to. When you build

now when you are playing a tour odi or test, you should save often if you are using

auto-play options. wot i mean is if you decide to auto-play till the end of your

innings in an odi or test and if you feel your score is low, you can exit it and

load the previous save of that game,and auto-play again, chances are that your score

will rise. this can be done for all auto-play options.

this also help when you are using auto-play for your bowling. so if u cant get the

other team out for a low total, then load the previous save and again auto-play.

there is a peculiar feature in Cricket 2005 that when you play a test in Easy

mode(difficulty) then during the first 10 to 15 overs of your batting, the other

side will place fielders in such a way that there will be large gaps usually in

the long on and off and deep extra cover and deep square leg region. in other words

there will not be not more than 2 or 3 fielders in the whole outfield towards the

bowlers end. so then you can take full advantage of that by hitting the ball very

straight or just towards mid-on & off, by doing this you will score fast and esay

runs. and if you want to score more runs then press the six hit button usually "shift"

with the shot and you will get many runs in the first few overs of your innings. happy

scoring !!!!!!

ANOTHER HINT FOR GETTING WICKETS FAST IN ONE DAY MATCHES ONLY:

when playing in easy mode you can get the other team out in 2 or 3 overs and not more

than 50 runs. here is how.the best way to take wickets during the fielding restrictions

in to bowl straight. pitch the ball just on good length or a little short of it and keep

the ball pace very slow(just 3 or 4 bars in the pace meter on the left), the batsman will

hit it high in the air and just with enough power to reach your long on fielder(so place

one there). when the fielding restrictions are removed then go for a swing bowler(irfan

pathan for india is really good for that) now use your out-swinger defualt "A" when

bowling and pitch it up really close to the batsman legs, but not on it and bowl it at

low speed and do maximum outswing and watch him get out caught on the boundaries(so place

your fielders in such a way so that they cover all sides of boundaries). another good

option is to place the bowl marker way up behind the stumps and bowl without no swing or

in-swing and then bowl it at good pace then surely the batsman will get bold or caught or

LBW(LBW works best with spinners).

another good way is to around the wicket to all batsman, now pitch the ball just outside

off stump and at good length and do maximum out-swing or spin at low pace and he will hit

it in the air for the deep extra cover fielder to catch it.

NOTE : these are hints given to you based on personal experience. so there is no guarantee

of less runs given in the process of taking wickets.

hint on how to hit sixes on a short pitch ball.

people think its difficult to hit sixes on shot pitch ball but its not

cirkcet 2005 is best most relistic game of all cricket versions

when u need to hit six on a shot pitch ball the thing that matters is ur timing

and ur position(most important). in this game position plays the most important

BATTING: First try and make ur timing perfect in nets practice.It will take 30min.

Usually the timing is just when the ball is about to land i.e. just when the ball

is about to hit the ball marker press ur keys.When u will make ur timing perfect

I will send u more tips.

BOWLING: Always select "MEDIUM" bowler no fast nor fast-medium bowler.It

should be only MEDIUM bowler.Eg;Ganguly,collingwood(eng).Place the bowl on the hat

of umpire using S key.Keep tapping it until the bowl is bowled.When u will practice

this I will tell u the trick behind this in future.See there is a meter on the left

hand side ,it is for bowler.When he bowls it fill up constantly.

Notice a long yellow line in between yellow and red meter.If u cross this it will

be no bowl.So how to stop it ? just press the button u chose to bowl with.Eg u

started to bowl with A the big blue marker dissappears and a red marker also

dissappears now the meter will start to rise just press the A again to stop the

meter.This meter decides the pace of ur bowl.The high it is fast will be the

delivery ,low the meter the ball will be slow.Practice Bowling in NETS.

I found many of my friends are facing problem in key controls here they are :-

This tip can be used in the easy mode,in ODI's. Select a fast bowler.

place the ball pointer behind the stumps. You can bowl at any speed.

Place a fielder at long off straight of the wicket. The bowler will

bowl a full toss. The batsmen will usually get bowled or will give a

catch to the long off fielder. Just dont forget to place the pointer

behind the stumps. This tric mostly works but some times it might not

work and the batsmen will defend the ball.You can also apply swing if u want.

This delivery can also be used in test matches but with less effect.

Mostly the batsmen will defend the ball but sometimes he will lose his

temper and go for the huge shots and lose his wicket.

When playing in easy mode you can get the other team out in 2 or 3 overs

and not more than 50 runs. here is how.the best way to take wickets during

the fielding restrictions in to bowl straight. pitch the ball just on good

length or a little short of it and keep the ball pace very slow(just 3 or 4

bars in the pace meter on the left), the batsman will hit it high in the air

and just with enough power to reach your long on fielder(so place one there).

when the fielding restrictions are removed then go for a swing bowler(irfan

pathan for india is really good for that) now use your out-swinger defualt

"A" when bowling and pitch it up really close to the batsman legs, but not on

it and bowl it at low speed and do maximum outswing and watch him get out caught

on the boundaries(so place your fielders in such a way so that they cover all

sides of boundaries). another good option is to place the bowl marker way up

behind the stumps and bowl without no swing or in-swing and then bowl it at

good pace then surely the batsman will get bold or caught or LBW(LBW works best

with spinners).

another good way is to around the wicket to all batsman, now pitch the ball just

outside off stump and at good length and do maximum out-swing or spin at low

pace and he will hit it in the air for the deep extra cover fielder to catch it.

NOTE: these are hints given to you based on personal experience. so there is

no guarantee of less runs given in the process of taking wickets.

Here is a special shot i have found that is reverse sweep.Assume that

you are playing with a right handed batsman.

PRESS SHIFT+UP DIR. KEY+RIGHT DIR. KEY+ 'S'. Although it's difficult

enough but one can play it better after trying it some times in training

make the bowler to bowl other side(for e.g Zaheer Khan of India ,Make

him bowl other side and keep the pointer just in front of the batsman leg.

reaches the feilders to make the feilder miss the ball from his hand,even

catches and misfeilds are possible this way.

Hi simran here want to introduce a shot that i have found and it is reverse

sweep. if u are playing as a right hander press following keys.

shift+up+left+ s and for left hander press shift+up+right+s.you could

For selecting the type of match conditions during tournament:

Press the continue button.see if that is what u require.if not go back twice

& again keep pressing the continue button till u get ur desired conditions.

for taking wickets on a wet pitch:

Take a (right arm)fast bowler.always bowl from over the wicket to a right

hander & around to a leftie.first one or two balls bowl short or good length

balls to the batsman.then place the pointer just in front of his crease in

line with off-middle stump.press "A" & keep let the speedbar stop just before

the no-ball line.the batsman will go for a straight drive & ball will sneak

below his bat.

NOTE:Dont overbowl it or the batsman will play a different shot.Use it after

bowling good or short length balls.

Hi friends I have found out a new cheat .Actually it is not the cheat but

it's hint .This will prevent you from getting LBW out.

What you have to do is when you are batting and appealed for LBW you must

press the keys 'A','S','D' and below three arrow keys alternately and you

will be preventd from getting out.Most of the times this cheat works.

While playing cricket 2005 you should try to concentrate on your timing

this will help you to play big shots.

By taking Pakistan team as your opponent , you can hit their bowlers very

well especially Rana naved and Shoaib akthar but at this time your team

should be either australia or india.

If you change your batting order by placing Gilchrist on no.3 he can easily

hit huge sixes.

First of all I would like to say that it is a terrafic game.

I have got a cheat for ul, with which u can activte the reverse

sweep shot. Just find a folder where all the files of different

shots are stored. Copy the file named "swpaddle1" & "swpaddle2"

to an external folder. Now rename the files named "revsweep1" &

"revsweep2" to "swapaddle1" & "swpaddle2". Now just look there is

one more folder inside the subfolder where u have renamed the files.

Go inside it n do the same thing.( Rename swpaddle to revsweep,Remember

there is only one file there for each shot). Now start the game press

the key which u use to play a paddle shot.Batsman will play a reverse

sweep. U can even come down the track and play this sweep. If u connect

well u will find the ball sailing over the head of thirdman.
